Man survives after plunging off Highway 101 into Hoh River, spent night along riverbank
The Washington State Patrol investigated a traffic fatality collision Sunday evening for the Quinault Nation Police Department.
They say that on February 7th at 7:58 pm a 74-year-old Taholah man driving a white 2000 Chevrolet Metro traveling eastbound on the Moclips highway at milepost 1.5 when he crossed the center line colliding head-on with a second vehicle involved a grey 2016 Toyota Sequoia driven by a 40-year-old man from Moclips.
The 74-year-old was deceased at the scene, the 40-year-old Moclips man sustained no injuries.
The State Patrol lists the cause of the collision as driving over the center of the line, and it is currently unknown if any alcohol or other factors were involved.
according to the Washington State Patrol, an 81-year-old Aberdeen man is being charged with Negligent Driving 2nd Degree after running in front of another vehicle causing a T-bone Collision and totaling out both vehicles.
The Aberdeen man driving a 2005 Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on State Route 12 at Aberdeen Lake Road W and made a turn towards Aberdeen Lake Rd W and the second vehicle a 1995 Ford Ranger driven by a 26-year-old Knoxville TN man then collided with him.
Both drivers were transported to Community Hospital for their injuries.
