On 12/15/20, a Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Stamper Road with an Elma Police Officer who responded to assist.
 
The driver of the vehicle was arrested for traffic violations and subsequently searched. During the search, officers located a recently stolen fuel card from a burglarized Elma business. Officers also observed items in the suspect’s vehicle that could have been stolen.
 
Officers applied for and were granted search warrants for the suspect's vehicle and his residence, to recover additional property related to the burglary.
 
Elma Officers, with the assistance of Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Deputies, served the search warrant on the suspect’s residence in which during the search, officers located several additional items from the Elma burglary along with multiple items stolen from other East County burglaries.
 
Several firearms were located, including two handguns that had the serial numbers scratched off.
 
The Elma man was arrested but released due to health concerns. Charges were forwarded to the Grays Harbor Prosecutor’s Office for possession of the stolen property, unlawful possession of a firearm, and altering identifying marks on a firearm.

Hoquiam Police and Medics were dispatched to the 100 block of Endresen Road at 1235 AM for a report of a motorcycle collision. Upon arrival, units discovered a 26 year old Hoquiam man was unresponsive. Life saving efforts from bystanders and Paramedics were unsuccessful.

Preliminary investigation indicates the rider was northeast on Endresen Road on a 2003 Honda CBR600 and failed to negotiate a slight left curve, striking a guardrail. The rider was not wearing a helmet.

Collision investigators from the HPD are currently scanning the scene and will be further investigating the cause and contributing factors of the collision.

Endresen Road will be closed for the next several hours.

According to a Washington State Patrol report a 2 vehicle collision that occurred Friday evening December 4th at 6:08pm on US 101 in Pacific County is still under investigation to determine the cause of the incident. 

A 20-year-old Cosmopolis man was traveling north on US 101 near milepost 62 (towards Aberdeen) driving a blue 2002 Accura hatchback when he crossed the center line and struck a grey 2008 Honda Pilot driven by a 59-year-old Tumwater woman with a 26-year-old male passenger. 

The 20-year old Cosmopolis man and the 59-year-old Tumwater woman was airlifted from the scene due to the severity of their injuries.  The 26-year-old Tumwater man, passenger was transported to Community hospital for his injuries. 

At the time of report, it was not known if drugs and or alcohol were a factor or any other details of what caused the collision.  No charges have been given. 

According to the Shelton Police Department on Monday, November 23, at approximately noon, the Shelton Police Department received information regarding a possible homicide.

In partnership with the Mason County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement teams located the remains of what is believed to be a previously reported missing adult.

Undersheriff Brad Johansson says this morning that on 11-22-20 deputies were dispatched to the 7-11 on Olympic Hwy in Central Park for a possible robbery.

The reporting party advised that a man parked across two parking spaces in front of the store, armed himself with a gun, and entered the store. A deputy arrived on the scene and observed a male matching the suspect’s description inside the store. The deputy did not see a gun in the suspect's hand but detained him to investigate further. When the male was asked if he was armed he admitted that he had a pistol in his waistband. The deputy recovered a loaded 9mm pistol from his waistband.
