The Coast Guard suspended the search Monday evening for a 14-year-old boy reportedly swept offshore while swimming near Long Beach, Washington.

The teenager was reported to be missing by his friend who confirmed he was wearing a red swimmers cap, gray T-shirt and black swim shorts. 

Aberdeen Detective Sergeant Darrin King says that on May 27, 2021, the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force (GHDTF) acted on a lengthy investigation into heroin, meth, and pills being sold from a travel trailer in the 200 block of W. Curtis Street in South Aberdeen.

The GHDTF was assisted by the Aberdeen Police Department and the Hoquiam Police Department.

A 29-year-old male from Aberdeen was arrested for Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA) Delivery/Trafficking. The male’s 30-year-old fiancée was arrested on an unrelated Department of Corrections felony warrant.

In the process of serving the search warrant meth, heroin, pills, and a large amount of cash was seized among other items commonly present during drug related investigations.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges may follow.

Grays Harbor Fire District 5 says in a press release this afternoon that one of the occupants of this morning's fire in Satsop died from a possible medical episode not related to the fire. 

Here is what Public Information Officer Brian Baldwin said in that press release; 

Grays Harbor Fire District 5 was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 1:26 Am on Wednesday morning May 26th in the 0 – 100 block of Keys RD W Satsop.  The initial report said that the house was on fire with smoke and flames.

Deputies from the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene and contacted the occupants of the structure. The occupants informed the Deputies that all occupants evacuated from the structure and that there was ammunition and oxygen tanks exploding inside the residence which is fully involved in flames.
