Initial dispatch came out around 9:50 PM on July 27th, 2023 for a vehicle vs juvenile ** Updated to 20-year-old female not a juvenile as initial radio traffic indicated *** pedestrian collision in the 100 block of Lincoln St in front of Al's Humdinger.
While exact details are not over the radio traffic, the EMS dispatch did state that the juvenile was unconscious with CPR was started. Airlift NW was requested to Community Hospital. The juvenile did have shallow breathing but was unresponsive.
HPD SOCIAL MEDIA RELEASE - On Thursday night at about 9:47 PM, Police and Fire personnel were dispatched to the area of Al's Humdinger regarding a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. Upon their arrival, they located a 20 year old female Hoquiam resident had been struck by a passenger car driven by a 73 year old rural Hoquiam resident. The pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Bowerman airfield to be flown to Harborview Medical Center. Officers did not observe any signs of impairment of the driver. This collision is currently under further investigation.
