Rollover Accident On SR 105 Had Traffic Backed Up A Bit Monday Night

An accident on State Route 105 last night looked bad according to posts to Grays Harbor Scanner Monday night, but only one person was transported for injuries of the 2 in the vehicle and according to radio traffic minor injury.

According to a State Patrol report, the accident occurred on October 9th, 2017 at 5:19 pm during the 'rush hour" heading out of Aberdeen on the Westport Highway SR 105 11 miles south of Aberdeen.  

The involved vehicle a gray 1989 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by a 63-year-old anchorage, AK man was traveling southbound state route 105 approaching mp36 when a vehicle ahead of him slowed to make a left turn. He swerved to avoid the turning vehicle and left the roadway to the right, entered the ditch,
Rolled onto its top.

The passenger, a 44-year-old Westport man was transported to Community Hospital for undisclosed injuries. The driver was not injured.  

WSP says that the cause of the accident was inattention, with charges of wheels off the roadway to the driver.
