Welcome to the 2025 Grays Harbor Scanner Admin Points Program.  Starting February 1, your GHScanner participation is going to be rewarded by a points system below. Scanner monitoring is what brings in page fans, subscribers and acivity so at this time this is what it focuses on. Brian, or another admin will calculate partipation based on just a few things 

1 - Posting in SnapChat minor incidents

2- Posting in SnapChat Major Incidents 

3 - Incidents making it to Subscribers 

4 - Incidents making it to general page fans.

Points accumilation are as follows

*** Note, points reset on the 1st of the month *** 

1 point for posting minor incidents in SnapChat, this includes things such as CPR in progress, non blocking collisions, suicidals, overdoses etc.... *** If Incident gets posted, or used then you get the higher point ***

2 points for posting in SnapChat Major Incidents and tagging Brian, or Amy in it or another admin that can post to subscribers on the page.  If Incident gets posted, or used then you get the higher point *

3 points for incidents that make it to subscribers. These are incidents such as traffic collisions, CPR calls, Trauma calls Structure fires. Hazmat etc... Subscriptions is what is paying for the rewards, therefore higher priority. 

4 points for major incidents that make it to both subscribers and page fans.  To be clear on this, these posts are generally decided by Amy and myself and are major incidents, things that affect the community as a whole.  Remember I have to have a  balance between subscriber content and non subscriber content. 

THE REWARDS

100 points = $75 Amazon or simular E Gift Card (Thats just 25 major incidents posted)

60 Points - $50 Amazon or simular E Gift Card (that is just 15 major incidents posted)

50 points - $25 Amazon or simular E Gift Card (That is just 10 major incidents posted)

The Rules 

Yes as with everything there are rules to the points system.  You do not get points if a person posts in SnapChat before you.

The point goes to the first person that posts it in chat.  *** Beating Brian *** Now typically I am sending the alert first, doing my thing  before posting in chat - so you have a delay in me posting it, if you get it to chat before me, you get the points.  If you do it after me no points.  

IMPORTANT - In order for incidents to make it to subscribers, general public details are needed in order to do this and get you the higher points

These are things such as location (address, cross streets etc...) Who, What, Why is important too.  You can get points for 1, and 2 even if I have to go look things up, but not 3, and 4.  Make sense?
