Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near Cosmopolis on US 101

GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA — A 29-year-old Elma man was killed Saturday evening in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near the junction of State Route 101 and State Route 107, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 8:13 p.m. on June 20, 2026, near the SR 101/SR 107 interchange south of Cosmopolis..

According to investigators, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on SR 101 when the motorcycle left the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The motorcycle came to rest on the right shoulder of the highway.

The rider, identified by the Washington State Patrol as Nicholas D. Dillon, 29, of Elma, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers reported Dillon was wearing a USDOT-compliant helmet at the time of the crash. No passengers were involved, and no other vehicles were reported in connection with the collision.

The motorcycle, a 2010 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU, was totaled in the crash and removed from the scene by CMA Towing.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and it is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors.

The Washington State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the fatal crash.
