GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA – September 14, 2025 – A collision on U.S. Highway 101 sent a motorcyclist to the hospital via life flight Sunday evening.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reports the crash occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. in the area of US 101 and Polson Camp Road.
According to investigators, Vehicle 1, a 2015 Indian Roadmaster motorcycle towing a trailer operated by a 68-year-old man from Elma, and Vehicle 2, a 1996 Ford F-150driven by a 16-year-old girl from Hoquiam, were both traveling southbound on US 101.

As traffic slowed, the motorcycle lost control. The motorcycle’s trailer subsequently struck the rear of the pickup truck. Both vehicles came to rest on the southbound shoulder of the highway near the intersection with Polson Camp Road.
The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment. The driver of the pickup truck was not reported injured.
The Washington State Patrol stated that drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
