Aberdeen Police FLOCK Camera Detects Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Made

The Aberdeen Police Department says that they were alerted to a stolen vehicle Sunday morning in the area of Alder and First St by their FLOCK Camera system, radio traffic later indicated that the vehicle had been stolen out of Whatcom County. Not only was the driver in possession of a stolen vehicle they recovered a a firearm along with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

On 04-13-25 at 0507 hrs, Aberdeen officers received an alert from the Flock Safety Cameras that a possible stolen vehicle had entered the city limits from Highway 12.

At 0643 hrs, the possible stolen vehicle was located by officers in the 100 Block of North Alder Street. At the time, the vehicle was occupied by a male driver. A high risk vehicle stop was conducted in the 200 Blk of North Alder Street.

The male driver was detained and arrested a short time later as the vehicle was confirmed stolen. The vehicle was seized as evidence and searched at the Aberdeen Police Department. During the search a firearm was recovered along with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle and driving while license suspended or revoked 3rd degree
