Back on November 11th, 2024, just efore 11 PM Grays Harbor County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a shooting at 1060 SR 105 in Ocosta. The reporting party advised that he was shot at while leaving the residence and the vehicle he was in suffered damage from multiple gunshots. After obtaining an initial statement from the reporting party and a witness on scene, it was determined that there were several subjects inside the suspect residence possibly armed with firearms.
Deputies were able to establish probable cause to arrest multiple subjects for various crimes. Currently three suspects are in custody on an array of crimes to include unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, drive-by shooting, and multiple counts of assault first degree.

On February 14th, 2025 a jury found on of the involved suspects, 54 year old Jesse Cubbison of Aberdeen guilty of two counts of Assault 2nd degree and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm steming from the incident. His sentencing is set for March 4th in Grays Harbor Superior Court.
The trial lasted 5 days and the jury deliberated for just over an hour before reaching their guilty verdict.
