The Grays Harbor County Sheriffs Department provided an update to an alert that we sent out to our GHScanner Alert subscribers on July 17th about a robbery that occurred at the Chevron Gas Station at what is called Hogans Corner in Ocean City area just outside of Ocean Shores.

(7-17-24) at approximately 0800 hours, Grays Harbor County deputies were dispatched to the Chevron Station in Hogan Corner for an armed robbery that had just occurred. It was reported by a witness that two subjects were at the location trying to steal items and when they were confronted by the store employee, one of the subjects swung a knife at the employee. The suspects then fled northbound on SR 109 in a vehicle.

Deputies responded and confirmed with the store employee that an armed robbery had occurred. Deputies were able to obtain the license plate of the suspect vehicle, which returned to a residence in Hoquiam. Deputies responded to the residence and were able to speak with one of the occupants of the suspect vehicle. This subject confirmed that he and his passenger tried to steal from the store and when confronted by the store owner, the passenger in the vehicle pulled out a knife and pointed it at the employee.

Deputies were later able to identify the second subject and located him at a house in Aberdeen. He was arrested without incident. He was taken into custody and booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail for Robbery in the First Degree.
