State Route 12 near Rochester was blocked for 4 hours yesterday, April 15th, 2024 while investigators investigated a 3 vehicle collision after a passenger car collided with a semi truck.

The Washington State Patrol reports that a three-car collision occurred on State Route 12 west of the roundabout at Denmark Street in Rochester on Monday, April 15th had the roadway blocked for up to 4 hours starting at the roundabout creating the east end detour.
A 74-year-old woman from Roy, WA, was driving a 2023 Toyota Camry westbound on State Route 12 when she crossed the center line and struck a semi truck, a white 2005 Kenworth driven by a 47-year-old Centralia man that was headed eastbound on State Route 12. The Semi truck then struck a third vehicle, a gray 2023 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 58-year-old Olympia woman.
The driver of the causing vehicle, the 74-year-old Roy woman, was transported to St Peters Olympia for her injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.
The cause of the collision is listed as failure to maintain lane. No drugs or alcohol were involved.
