38 year old killed in collision, 2 children injured in Pacific County Saturday Morning.


The Washington State Patrol says that a 38-year-old South Bend woman was killed in a traffic collision Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 just after midnight on US 101 near milepost 61 between Grays Harbor and Pacific County.


The collision occurred on US 101 near milepost 61 at approximately 12:09 AM. The 38-year-old woman was driving a red 2003 Mercury Sable traveling southbound on us highway 101. The vehicle lost control and crossed the northbound lanes going into the ditch and struck a tree where it came to rest.

2 passengers in the vehicle, a 9-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, were transported to Harborview for their injuries.

The cause of the collision is listed as "Speeds to fast for conditions" Drugs and or alcohol were not involved. both children and the driver had been wearing seatbelts and or in proper restraint.
