A storm system Monday Night/Tuesday will bring a bout of rain and locally windy conditions for Western Washington. A stronger system Wednesday/Thursday is forecast to bring heavy rains and stronger winds. The wind could be strong enough to make small branches and weak trees fall, and cause local power outages. Also, the rain could be heavy enough at times to cause local street and urban flooding. Also, river levels will rise and the Skokomish River may reach flood stage. Now would be a good time to make sure storm drains and gutters and cleared of leaves and debris. Also, prepare for possible windy conditions by putting away summer lawn furniture, and make sure radios and flashlights have fresh batteries
A storm moving into Western Washington has every bracing and preparting as it is the first for the fall storms.
