...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a High Wind Watch, which is in effect from Monday evening through Tuesday morning.
* WIND...South winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts of 50-55 MPH.
* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...Ocean Shores, Hoquiam, La Push and Neah Bay. Friday Harbor, Oak Harbor, Bellingham and Everett.
* TIMING...Winds will increase Monday evening and the strongest winds will likely occur late overnight Monday and into early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Falling trees and limbs, power outages.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph...or gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
