ABERDEEN, WA – October 2, 2025 – At approximately 4:17 a.m., fire crews from Cosmopolis Fire, Aberdeen Fire, and Hoquiam Fire were dispatched to the 200 block of West 3rd Street in Aberdeen for a reported basement fire in a two-story residence.
The initial caller indicated the house should be vacant, but dispatch soon updated that voices were heard inside, possibly two people, yelling to get out. Later radio traffic never indicated, though, if there was anyone in the residence or not.
Aberdeen Fire Department was the first to arrive on the scene, reporting white smoke showing from all sides of the structure. Crews quickly went to work on suppression efforts.
By 4:38 a.m., the fire was declared knocked down. Further details on occupancy and possible injuries have not yet been released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
