According to a Washington State Patrol report a 59-year-old Grayland man was killed in a motorcycle accident in King County Friday, October 11th at 1159pm. 

The Grayland man on a Gold 2003 Harley Davidson was traveling southbound on State Route167 in lane three of four just south of 180th street when he changed from lane three to lane four directly in front a Black 2016 Ford F250 Pickup driven by a 35-year-old Auburn man.  The Ford truck was unable to slow and struck the back of the motorcycle ejecting the rider landing in lane four of four. The Ford Pickup then slid across the lane into lane 3 striking a light green 2018 Hyundai Kona driven by a 38-year-old Moxee man.  

There were no injuries reported by the driver or passengers of the Pickup nor the Hyundai Kona 

Unsafe Lane Changes are listed as the cause of the accident.

The Roadway was blocked for 3 hours, and next of kin is being located for notification. 

According to a Washington State Patrol report released Friday morning a 19 year old Aberdeen woman was killed after her 1998 Subaru Impressa rolled on Westbound State Route 8 at Fairgrounds Road while being pursued by a WSP Trooper.

The WSP Trooper started the traffic stop on Westbound SR 8 at milepost 6 which is the west end of McCleary (reason for traffic stop not given).  The vehicle fled for 5 five miles before the driver lost control at a high rate of speed as it attempted to change lanes to go around a chip truck.  The vehicle left the roadway to the left and entered the grassy median rolling several times ejecting the driver. 

The Aberdeen woman was not wearing a seat-belt according to the report and was deceased at the scene.  

Elma. Police Chief Susan Shultz said in a press release this morning that at approximately 3:00 am, an Elma Officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of W. Main Street, for a reported burglary in progress. The homeowner reported their front door had been kicked in.

Officers from the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, Montesano Police and McCleary Police responded to assist. While investigating the first reported burglary, officers were dispatched to a second burglary in progress in the 100 block of N. 9th. The homeowner later reported the suspect kicked the front door in, the homeowner armed himself and checked the home to discover the suspect pointing an AK 47 at him.

While officers were responding to the second burglary, they were dispatched to a third burglary in progress in the 600 block of W. Young Street. The Elma Officer located a male in the 500 block of W. Young who was holding a rifle. The male was ordered at gunpoint to show his hands, the male refused and disappeared between parked vehicles.

A vehicle pursuit this morning in Hoquiam was due to the man being wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm, the felony arrest warrant was related to firearms stolen from the Aberdeen Museum after the fire and now he faces additional charges according to Hoquiam Police Chief Myers.
