Another motorcycle pursuit in the county last night, a list of ongoing issues with motorcycles running from police and getting away.  Thanks to mechanical failure this motorcycle didn't get away from the Hoquiam Police.

On 09/26/17 at around 11:00 P.M. Hoquiam’s Police, Sgt. Dayton attempted to stop a 1982 Honda motorcycle for speeding on East Hoquiam Road, just prior to the city limits. When Sgt. Dayton activated his emergency lighting equipment, the driver of the motorcycle turned off the lights and fled northbound on East Hoquiam Road. Speeds reached 70 mph on the dark, winding country road. The driver had his 28-year-old girlfriend on the back as he fled. The pursuit ended near milepost 6 where the motorcycle experienced a mechanical failure.

Felony eluding charges will be forwarded to the Grays Harbor County Prosecutor for filing upon conclusion of the investigation.
