Motorcycle Rider Injured in Collision on SR 3 Near Equestrian Drive In Kitsap County

A motorcycle rider was injured in a collision on State Route 3 near Equestrian Drive after being struck by another vehicle, authorities reported.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2015 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 90-year-old man from Seabeck was traveling northbound on SR 3 on the shoulder after having turned onto SR 3 from Equestrian Drive alongside a 2014 Honda motorcycle operated by a 56-year-old Aberdeen man On August 22nd, 2025 around 9:26 AM.

Investigators say the RAV4 initially pulled over to the right shoulder and began to slow down. As the motorcycle attempted to pass, the RAV4 reportedly re-entered the roadway, striking the motorcycle. The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the bike.

Details regarding the extent of the rider’s injuries or whether citations were issued have not yet been released, but the rider was airlifted to Haborview in Seattle. The collision remains under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
