The Washington State Patrol says in a report that a 55 year old Rochester woman died, she was the passenger of a 2017 Hyundai Accent that crashed into a rock wall near the rock quary just west of Oakville Tuesday evening at 8:57 PM

They passenger vehicle, 2017 Hyundai Accent was being driven by a 57 year old male, with the 55 year old woman (same last name) traveling eastbound on SR 12 at milepost 34 when the driver lost control and left the roadway to the right striking the rock wall, then went back into the roadway and crossed over to the left hand side where it remained.

The passenger, was taken to Tacoma General by helicopter however died at the hospital.

Cause of the collision, and if any charges to be added to the driver have been undetermined. The report states that NO drugs or alcohol appears to be a factor.
