The Washington State DOT says that drivers should prepare for the closure of the Simpson Ave Bridge on Monday, October 14th while they do inspections closing the bridge to traffic.

Travelers who use the US 101 Simpson Avenue Bridge in Hoquiam will want to plan additional travel time Monday, Oct. 14.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, the Simpson Avenue bridge will close to all traffic for a routine inspection.
During the closure, the US 101 Riverside Bridge will be reconfigured to accommodate two-way travel.
Travelers can expect congestion while the detour is in place.
The inspection requires daylight. Inspectors need to see inside tight spaces and get detailed observations of bridge components and operations.
