Aberdeen Police Department’s four-legged crime fighter, Police Dog Ronin, has completed training and is hitting the road. Police Dog Ronin and his handler, Officer Chad Pearsall, completed their 400-hour training class last evening.
The K9 Team trained in Kitsap County for the past four months and successfully passed their Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Police K9 Certification Test.
Police Dog Ronin is now certified and ready to be deployed. Police Dog Ronin is 2 years old and is a shelter rescue dog from King County. Police Dog Ronin is trained to track suspects, search for articles & evidence, conduct building & area searches, and to protect his handler and other police officers.
