The Washington State Patrol says that early Sunday morning, a 41-year-old Montesano man was lifeflighted to Tacoma General for injuries sustained in a motorcycle collision on State Route 108 early Sunday mornings.

The collision occurred on State Route 108 just east of Skookum Creek on Sunday, August 27th at 1:09 AM. the Montesano man had been traveling westbound on 108 at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate a curve, and struck a guardrail on the westbound
shoulder.
The Motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lane and struck an embankment, coming to rest in the eastbound lane of sr108.
The driver was ejected and landed in westbound lane.
The Montesano man was lifeflighted to Tacoma General for his injuries.
Cause of the collision is listed as DUI, Speeds to fast for conditions.
