The Grays Harbor Opera Workshop presents a fully staged production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s joyfully topsy-turvy comic opera--the duo’s last great success, ten years after Pirates of Penzance--featuring some of Sullivan’s most beautiful, sparkling music, and Gilbert’s most hilarious and scathing satire. Directed by Ian and Joy Dorsch. All tickets $12 Children 12 & under free

Ocean Shores Five Star Dealerships Sand and Sawdust Festival, Ocean Shores

As the largest chainsaw show in Washington State, the Sand and Sawdust festival pays tribute to the natural beauty and resources of the Pacific Northwest.
Watch chainsaw carvers from around the world tranform raw wood into stunning works of art. You’ll be able to purchase your favorite creations at the live auctions on Friday and Saturday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Don’t miss the “quick carve” on Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon!
Down on the beach you’ll be amazed as artists compete in creating life-size sculptures out of sand. Want to advance your own sand art skills? You will be able to learn how to make beautiful sand creations from Form Finders. There will also be a variety of arts, crafts and food vendors inside and outside the Convention Center.
Sun, sand, sawdust and smiles – more reasons to come and Explore the Shores at another fun-filled event at the Ocean Shores Convention Center!
