The Hoquiam Police Department says in a Social Media Post Thursday morning that Hoquiam Police and Medics were dispatched to the 100 block of Endresen Road at 1235 AM for a report of a motorcycle collision.

Upon arrival, units discovered a 26 year old Hoquiam man was unresponsive. Life saving efforts from bystanders and Paramedics were unsuccessful.

Preliminary investigation indicates the rider was northeast on Endresen Road on a 2003 Honda CBR600 and failed to negotiate a slight left curve, striking a guardrail. The rider was not wearing a helmet.

Collision investigators from the HPD are currently scanning the scene and will be further investigating the cause and contributing factors of the collision.

Endresen Road will be closed for the next several hours.
