Hot Weather Expected For First Week of August

The national weather service is saying that temperatures can be in the 90's by Wednesday.  Its not much different than what we have been ranging which has been 70 - 80 degrees.

A strong upper-level ridge building over the Pacific Northwest combined
with developing offshore flow will bring several days of 
hot weather to Western Washington this week. 

Daily temperatures will begin rising on Monday and are expected to 
peak on Thursday. By Tuesday, highs will rise into the upper 70s 
to near 90. 

The hottest days will be Wednesday and Thursday. Highs over the 
interior from Seattle southward will be in the 90s to near 100 
degrees. Some spots on Thursday could range from 100 to 104 
degrees. The cooler parts of Western Washington, along the 
immediate coast, the Strait of Juan De Fuca, and the north 
interior should remain in the 80s Wednesday and Thursday

Several high temperature records may be set during this heat wave. 

Overnight lows Wednesday night and Thursday night should be in 
the 60s which would offer only limited relief after midnight from 
the daytime heat. 

A cooling trend may develop starting on Friday

Some precautions during a heat wave are to drink plenty of fluids, 
seek air conditioned areas, stay out of the sun, and avoid
