Failing to yield the right of way was the cause of an accident Wednesday, December 13th says the Hoquiam Police Department.  An accident that left many wondering, how does one do that?

According to the Hoquiam Police Department, in a release Thursday morning  on 12/13/17 Hoquiam Police and Fire were dispatched to a blocking collision at the base of the Simpson Avenue Bridge. The investigation revealed the driver of the white passenger car failed to yield right of way of a truck towing a trailer as it turned onto Simpson Avenue.

Hoquiam Fire personnel used stabilizing blocks to ensure the vehicle did not move while extracting the driver from the vehicle out the passenger side.

No one was injured and the driver of the white passenger car was cited for failure to yield right of way.
