Aberdeen man decided to point gun at victims of a theft being talked to by an officer Thursday.

Grays Harbor Scanner mentioned this in an alert Thursday afternoon for an incident in Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen Police Department says that on About 1802 hours on June 8th, 2017, an Aberdeen officer responded to the 1100 block of Fordney Street for a stolen cell phone call. 

While the officer was out investigating the incident, a subject across the street (a 3rd party not related to the complaint) had a verbal argument with the victim of the stolen phone and his friends.  This 3rd party person that resided across the street, went into his house and came back our with a handgun which the victims stated that he had pointed it at them.

Other officers arrived on scene and surrounded the house, and the officers talked the suspect into coming out.  They searched the house and located the handgun which belonged to the man that they had detained, and was placed under arrested for Assault 1st degree and booked into Aberdeen Jail.
