Busy Day for Aberdeen Police Street Crimes Detail First Day

The Aberdeen Police Department started a new Street Crimes Unit detail yesterday.  Two officers were assigned and worked from 1000 to 1830 hours.  The Street Crimes Unit (SCU) that will be doing proactive police work in all aspects of criminal activities in the City of Aberdeen.  They will be a specialty unit that works outside of normal patrol work trying to decrease the crime in our city. The officers will cover the current crimes trends that the city is experiencing with a broad range of crimes being targeted.

The stats for their shift was as follows:

 1)  17-A12201     Felony Warrant Arrest :    Martin Fonseco was contacted and arrested after information was received that he was working in the Shops at Riverside Mall and had an outstanding Felony Warrant for 3 counts of California's Lewd Act upon a Child by Force, Violence or Menace (victim less than 14 years old) ($750,000). Additional assistance was provided to the Santa Rosa Police Department in securing possible evidence in their case.
                 2) 17-A12186      Mis. AMC Warrant Arrest:  Frank Clemens was arrested on an outstanding AMC warrant after he was contacted for riding his bike in traffic causing a traffic hazard and for not wearing a helmet.
                 3) 17-A12214      DWLS / Revoked 1st/  AMC warrant:  Bryan Mcghee was arrested for driving while his license revoked 1st degree, and an outstanding AMC warrant during a subsequent traffic stop for a moving violation. 
                  4) 17-A12235     DOC Felony Warrant Arrest/ VUCSA/ Concealed weapon violation:  Michael Damaske and Isiah Gallegos were contacted and both arrested after they were observed in the north alley of 600 W. Wishkah St. During the subsequent contact Damaske was found to have an outstanding DOC Fel. Warrant and arrested without incident. Gallegos was found to be carrying a concealed spring loaded knife and a loaded syringe with methamphetamine and arrested without incident.
                  It should also be noted that 4 NOI's were also issued during other traffic stop contacts.
